‘I took hormone therapy to boost my sex life with husband – now I watch porn every day’

A woman who lost her libido which then saw her marriage spiral has revealed how hormone replacement therapy (HRT) transformed her life.

HRT is used to relieve symptoms of the menopause by replacing hormones that are at a lower level as women approach the menopause.

Speaking to host Cathy on the Strictly Anonymous podcast, Britney claimed she was about to give up on her marriage when HRT drastically improved her sex drive.

She said she started feeling her sex life waning when she was 35 – only five years after getting married.

Cathy said the lack of a sexual connection with her husband made her overthink the problems.

Britney said her sex drive had plummeted five years into her marriage

“I’m way too young to have any hormonal issues,” she recalled thinking. “It has to be that I’ve fallen out of love. Or the lust phase is over; this is what marriage is really like.”

Britney said that these struggles made her resent her husband as she thought: “It has to be something he’s not doing, because I don’t think there’s anything I can do.”

However, after hearing about HRT from a hairdresser, Britney decided to take the hormones and explained that her sex drive is now through the roof.

“I’ve never really watched porn before but now I pretty much watch porn everyday and even on my lunch break,” she said.

The rejuvenated Britney even claims she can now “climax just by playing with nipples”.

Britney went on to explain that HRT treatment has made her far more open-minded to experiment.

“I’ve never been with a woman, and now when I look for porn, I look for porn with nice big breasts,” she said. “I would love to play with someone else’s boobs.”

Britney’s husband has been supportive of her new-found energy. She described how it had even resulted in the couple booking an erotic massage, only to pull out at the last minute.

Despite the improvement in her sex life, Britney expressed an anxiety about women like her going to swingers clubs when they “aren’t in their best condition.”

However, Cathy was quick to reassure her: “Guys like all kinds of women.”

There are risks involved with HRT including increased chances of having heart attacks and strokes. For more information on the treatment, visit the NHS’ website.
